‘Cymraeg for Kids’ services are available from the very beginning to help new parents to speak Welsh with their children at home and to support them when opting for Welsh-medium childcare and education.

Our free weekly groups from birth, like Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Welsh Rhymetime and Sign helps parents to learn more about nursery rhymes, books and aps that can by introduced in the home – they also provide an opportunity for parents to socialise and meet new parents.

Our main aim is to support the Mentrau Iaith:

• Providing opportunities to share information, ideas and cooperation through various meetings, conferences and training.
• Influencing on their behalf, and for the benefit of the Welsh language, through responding to consultations.
• Development of regional and national projects.
• Offer support and guidance on various issues, including internal policies, staffing, research and development opportunities in the area of language planning.

A large part of MIC’s work is promoting Mentrau Iaith activities and creating national campaigns promoting the Welsh language.
