‘Cymraeg for Kids’ services are available from the very beginning to help new parents to speak Welsh with their children at home and to support them when opting for Welsh-medium childcare and education.
Our free weekly groups from birth, like Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Welsh Rhymetime and Sign helps parents to learn more about nursery rhymes, books and aps that can by introduced in the home – they also provide an opportunity for parents to socialise and meet new parents.
Mentrau Iaith Cymru
Our main aim is to support the Mentrau Iaith:
- Providing opportunities to share information, ideas and cooperation through various meetings, conferences and training.
- Influencing on their behalf, and for the benefit of the Welsh language, through responding to consultations.
- Development of regional and national projects.
- Offer support and guidance on various issues, including internal policies, staffing, research and development opportunities in the area of language planning.
A large part of MIC’s work is promoting Mentrau Iaith activities and creating national campaigns promoting the Welsh language.
National Lottery Heritage Fund
With money raised by National Lottery players, we distribute grants of between £10,000 and £10million to support projects that connect people and communities to their heritage. We also distribute money on behalf of the UK government and devolved governments.
Heritage can be anything from the past that you value and want to pass on to future generations. Sharing our heritage brings people together, inspires pride in place and supports local economies.
Since 1994, we have distributed over £9.2billion to more than 52,000 projects across the UK.

National Churches Trust
The mission of the National Churches Trust is to see Cymru/Wales’ wonderful collection of historic churches, chapels and meeting houses open, used, and in good repair. We are proud to support these surprising, important buildings, and the people that bring them to life. They are cornerstones of Welsh culture, valuable community assets delivering essential activities and a key visitor experience.
We provide guidance, remote and in-person officer support, a grants programme, access to training, tourism input, plus enterprise and income generation insight to ensure these amazing places continue to serve their communities and to protect the nation’s heritage for future generations.

Localgiving
Localgiving was founded in a bid to offer digital donation services and an online presence to UK charities at a time when both were out of reach of most organisations.
Since 2012 we have been proud to connect grassroots organisations with donations, fundraising and grants plus resources and support. We’ve always had a focus on bringing cutting edge technology to even the smallest of charities and community groups, always with a clear focus on helping them raise more money.
